Rabbi Ami was trapped in a place of great danger. Rabbi Yonatan said: "Let the dead be wrapped in his shroud." Rabbi Shimon ben Lakish said: "Either I shall kill or I shall be killed, but I am going to save him by force." He went and appeased them, and they hand- ed him over to him. |
